Compuware ships Visual Studio-integrated testing tool

Compuware has unveiled a testing tool to help developers and testers to identify and resolve errors more quickly, including those developing in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.

TestPartner 5.4, which forms part of Compuware’s QA Center Enterprise Edition, offers functional testing integration with the Visual Studio 2005 Team System.

The tool allows users to run automated functional unit tests, to verify application functionality, performance, memory consumption, and to identify new issues “within hours”, said Compuware.

Compuware said integration with the Visual Studio 2005 Team System allows an organisation to reuse testing scripts from within an integrated development environment.

The updated testing technology also includes a wizard that allows a single test to be used for multiple test cases.

The new version of TestPartner 5.4 costs from £4,700 per user, including 12 months’ maintenance support.
