The maker of Vimto soft drinks says it has saved £50,000
in the first year of adopting an electronic document management and
imaging system.
The Nichols Group adopted the system from Version One to handle
invoices, statements, remittances, payslips and purchase
orders.
These are now automatically archived as they are generated from
Nichols’ accounting system. They can then be sent electronically to
customers and suppliers.
Group IT manager Allan Doyle said, “The only missing link for us
now in having complete end-to-end paperless procedures is our
manual inputting of purchase invoices.
“We plan to rectify this by implementing Version One’s new
automated document capture solution, which uses the latest OCR
technology.”
