SourceLabs has launched an open source stack of Java
applications and a premium support service for
businesses.
The Sash stack includes the open source Struts, Axis Spring and
Hibernate frameworks and supporting libraries, certified and
integrated with leading commercial and open source infrastructure
software.
The stack is designed to make Java development more productive
than conventional J2EE applications, by integrating a lightweight
container, a web-user interface framework, an interoperable web
services stack and database access.
SourceLabs’ new Premium Support and Maintenance Subscriptions
service includes a pre-deployment consultation on configuration and
application architecture, 24-hour on-call support, critical
security updates and ongoing maintenance through tested service
packs.
Support would be provided by engineers who are familiar with
open source software and often active participants in the open
source projects they support, SourceLabs said.
