Johnson Service Group is to work with Atos Origin to
implement a MySap enterprise resource planning (ERP)
system.
The system will be used to drive down supply chain costs and
establish operational best practices.
Atos will provide systems integration services to implement the
SAP system across the organisation's retail dry cleaning, corporate
wear, garment rental and facilities management businesses,
representing 10 UK companies.
Johnson Service Group has recently grown through a number of
acquisitions, and needed to standardise and integrate IT across its
four divisions.
The two-year deal with Atos Origin is worth more than £5m.
"Atos Origin demonstrated a strong understanding of our business
needs which, together with its track record in implementing ERP
systems, convinced us that it was the right company for this
project," said Jim Wilkinson, chief financial officer of Johnson
Service Group.
