SPSS will provide predictive analytics functionality to
Microsoft’s forthcoming SQL Server 2005 database
release.
SQL Server 2005 is currently in beta and will ship in November,
according to Microsoft.
SPSS’ Statistical Services for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 will
integrate into SQLs DSV (Data Source View), which provides
analytical services to users.
The SPSS product will allow SQL Server users to complete
analytics without them having to pull data out of the database.
This can deliver productivity gains and reduce the chance of
errors.
SPSS Statistical Services for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 will be
available when the SQL Server upgrade ships.
