Sun Microsystems has enhanced its main business
management system, Java Enterprise System, with release
3.
Java ES3 comes with Sun Java System Identity Manager, a feature
that protects sensitive data and which is designed to increase
efficiency and reduce the costs of identity management.
The enhanced Java ES provides multi-platform support for major
commercial operating environments, including Solaris 10 on both
Sparc and x86 platforms, HP-UX, Linux and Windows 2000 and XP.
Sun Java System Identity Manager eliminates manual creation,
maintenance and deletion of identity data, enabling organisations
to increase accessibility while maintaining tight security. The
system also ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
Java Enterprise System costs £78 per employee, per year.
