EMC aims to make it easier for businesses to search
unstructured information from multiple sources in multiple
languages with a new software tool.
The EMC Documentum Enterprise Content Integration (ECI)
Services, is already being used in fields such as pharmaceutical
development or monitoring of regulatory affairs.
ECI Services can be used on its own, with the company's
Documentum Enterprise Content Management platform, or with other
suppliers' content management systems.
The software incorporates the askOnce technology EMC acquired
from Xerox in March.
EMC representatives were contacted for information about pricing
but were not immediately available for comment.
