General Electric has begun installing an e-learning
management system from Plateau Systems, in what may be one of the
largest electronic learning implementations of its
kind.
Plateau 4 LMS will serve as the core e-learning management
system at GE, replacing a number of divisional systems. The system
is expected to help GE provide virtual desktop training to more
than 300,000 employees and contractors on five continents.
The business-by-business implementation of the software is
expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter of
2004.
