George Best Belfast City Airport has upgraded its internet access so it can carry real-time flight information on its website.
The airport has installed a 2Mbyte managed internet link supplied by ntl:Telewest Business.
The upgrade provides high-speed internet connectivity to all the airport's administrative offices and retail outlets as well as its website, which has more than 30,000 unique web visits every month.

David Armstrong, regional sales manager of ntl:Telewest Business, said: "Internet connectivity is as important to the operation of the airport as any other utility."
The airport was used by more than two million passengers in 2007.
It selected a managed link to guarantee the reliability of the connection and minimise maintenance. The service is based on a leased-line internet service, and includes hardware and round-the-clock support.
