Bodycare deploys BT secure payments system

The Bodycare toiletry chain is deploying an all-in-one secure payments, CRM and staff-training system from BT.

The system includes the provision of technology, to address the payment card industry data security standards (PCI DSS).

Under the deal, BT will implement its Store Plus point-of-sale product and online retail training application Virtual View and Learn (VVL) system, across Bodycare's 128 stores.

The VVL product will enable the retailer to put its entire staff through a retail apprenticeship programme, which includes NVQ's in retail and skills for life training, providing a paperless option which will centrally track staff progress through the modules.

Julie Wilkinson, Bodycare director, said, "...with the need to meet the requirements of PCI DSS, we also have peace of mind that we now have a solution that will provide us with the capability to meet new data security standards."
