Sita and aviation ground services firm Servisair have announced a technology deal that will provide airport services in Europe and North America for 20 millon passengers annually.

The partnership will see Servisair benefiting from Sita’s Horizon portfolio in 30 locations in Europe and North America.

The agreement includes use of the SITA Departure Control Services (DCS) platform, along with e-ticketing and web check-in applications, Advance Passenger Information System (APIS) processing and network connectivity.

The PassengerHandler common language facility provided as part of the Sita DCS system will help Servisair to deliver faster check-in services to new airline customers and to offer improved levels of service.

The Sita DCS will operate across a number of existing airport common-use check-in applications, including Sita’s Common Use Terminal Equipment (CUTE) system and other third party applications.

Nila Mitha, Servisair executive vice-president for information systems, said, “Sita self-service and other applications will allow us to offer a new and differentiated service to our airline customers across a large number of airports around the world, both now and in the future.”
