IBM is to boost its single sign-on offering with the launch of IBM Tivoli Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On.
The product delivers single sign-on abilities to applications including Lotus Notes collaboration software, SAP business applications, Microsoft Windows-based applications and other solutions, said IBM.
Tivoli Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-On, available from March, is designed to firmly tie together the web single sign-on technology IBM is already established in to most enterprise applications.
The platform will be accompanied by four modules designed to address specific areas of single sign-on provision.
These modules include shared user access points, desktop password resets, authentication for biometric devices and smart tags, and single sign-on password management.
The IBM offering is designed to take on similar platforms offered by the likes of CA and Microsoft.
