IT leaders from councils in Cumbria, Lambeth and Leeds will today (18 October) find out which has won the Best Local Government IT Project of 2005 award.
The announcement will be made at the annual conference of public sector IT directors' association Socitm. The councils were shortlisted for the Computer Weekly-supported awards for their innovative use of IT.
