Microsoft has released the third beta of its Team Foundation Server software to handle application lifecycle management.

Team Foundation Server enables collaboration and change management between developers and is designed to work with the Visual Studio 2005 Team System product planned for release in early November.

The general release of Team Foundation Server isn’t expected until the first quarter of 2006. The beta functions with the Visual Studio 2005 release candidate software made available to attendees at the Microsoft Professional Developers Conference in the US last week.

The beta is available to Microsoft Developers Network subscribers.
