Research house BroadGroup is to reveal its new report, Managed Services in Europe, at the Data Centres Europe conference in London on 21-23 March.
The report will examine the growth of the managed services market, which is currently growing faster than the IT and telecoms sectors at 20%, and assess the strength and respective offerings from datacentres, systems integrators and telcos.
Based on the premise as to whether this is the end of the datacentre or the beginning of a new era in managed services, the report will highlight market conditions and barriers that still exist.
It will also cover some of the technology drivers like broadband access, cost of computing hardware and virtualisation to prevent dependence on a single physical location. It will tell us what customers are buying into and why and how telecom providers are positioned to make significant gains.
The report is a definitive outlook on the future of managed services and will address the challenges facing enterprises, such as migration to a single IP network and explosive data growth, and the overwhelming need for off-site storage and archiving.
