Teams entering this year's Vanco Three Peaks challenge for IT departments are working hard to raise money for international charity Care, which is battling devastation in Iraq.
According to Care officials, erratic electricity supplies mean that water and sewerage systems are not working and hospitals cannot operate properly.
Humanitarian efforts are hampered by gunfights and Care and other aid organisations have had their warehouses looted and their cars hijacked.
The 25 IT departments taking part in the challenge, which is sponsored by Computer Weekly, will walk up Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales.
The challenge will take place on 19-20 July and each team will raise at least £5,000. For more information, visit the Care International website at:
