High-level qualifications in disaster recovery have been launched by Survive, the user and supplier membership organisation, in conjunction with Leicester University.
A 12-month certificate course will be equivalent to a second year of undergraduate study in risk, crisis and disaster management. A 16-month diploma course will equate to the third undergraduate year.
Both courses will be offered remotely from March next year and will also be run as more traditional schemes.
"These courses will give industry a vital new source of academic qualifications to meet the increasing standards required of business continuity practitioners," says Mike Howbrook, Survive's director of operations for the UK and Europe.
