Interxion opens another data centre
Colocation service provider Interxion has opened its 28th European data centre. The new facility becomes the company's sixth data centre to be based in Frankfurt. The almost 1600-square-meter site offers access to more than 150 carriers/ISPs dual-entry fibre and redundant connections between data centres.

Most data centre errors are caused by humans
A study by the Uptime Institute has discovered that 70% of disruptions in the data centre are caused by human errors. The consultancy and research firm analysed 4,500 data centre disruptions, including 400 in which the systems were entirely offline.
