Specsavers CIO John Lister quits

Specsavers' chief information officer, John Lister, has quit the company after three years, citing personal reasons for his departure.

During his tenure, Lister migrated the company’s IT systems from Eastleigh to Southampton. Lister also oversaw the establishment of offshore testing and development capabilities, and the ongoing development and roll-out of Specsavers store and manufacturing systems.

Before quitting his position, Lister was in the process of deploying a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system from Oracle as part of its contract with IBM.

"I would like to thank John for his contribution as a member of the Specsavers board and for the progress that the IT function has made under his leadership," said Specsavers managing director John Perkins. "I wish him all the very best for the future."

Chief financial officer Paul Fussy will lead the company’s IT function until a replacement for Lister is found.
