HP shipped 2.6 million to 2.7 million notebooks for the past month, lower than the expected 3.2 million to 3.4 million because of the bond crisis in Europe and lower demand in China, according to US reports.

The unsatisfactory performance could also affect HP's annual shipment goal of 45 million units for 2010, analysts said.
