Orange slices mobile broadband prices

SME voice customers who take on a new Business Everywhere plan will receive a discount of up to 50% with other discounts to all companies

In a bid to offer the most cost-effective broadband packages in what is a very competitive market, Orange is for a limited period to make significant discounts to the price of its Business Everywhere mobile broadband packages.

Until 31 July 2009, existing SME voice customers who take on a new Business Everywhere plan will receive a discount of up to 50%. This says Orange will give such companies unlimited mobile broadband access from just £7.50 a month. Separately, all new customers who sign up during this time will receive a £5 discount on their bill every month, meaning unlimited mobile broadband will be priced from £10 a month.

After 31 July 2009, business customers will be offered Business Everywhere Unlimited packages for £15 a month on a 24 month contract or Business Everywhere Traveller, which includes a 25 Mbyte roaming allowance for £35.

The offer also includes HSUPA mobile broadband devices for business that are claimed to enable customers to send information up to four times faster than existing 3G+ devices. Supporting download speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps, products in the range include the ZTE MF636 dongle, the Huawei E870 PC Express Card and the Option GX301 PCMCIA Card.

All business devices come with a Business Everywhere connection manager that provides IT administration and corporate security features which, for larger businesses in particular, says the operator, offer features and customisation unique to the market.

“Mobile broadband has really taken off across all industries and business sizes. In fact, our own research shows that a key driver for customers adopting mobile broadband has been the growing desire to stay in control and stay on top of business opportunities, while on the move if necessary. Not only have our price plans been restructured to help make mobile broadband even more affordable, but a fresh range of three new devices offer a more secure, accessible and hassle-free way of working on the move,”  explained Paul Tollet, Vice President Business, Orange UK.
