Dell is one of the big companies that has had a quick return on investment with Salesforce.com's Sales cloud product. He said Cisco is using the product to optimise its sales channel. "John Chambers [CEO of Cisco] has 15,000 people in a multi-lingual sales channel. He wanted to integrate [sales automation] with VoIP and telepresence."

Bill Murphy, managing director of BT Business, said the company has used the Sales Cloud to improve its sales prospects. "We are all under pressure with budgets, and you need to move fast. Last month we did 25,000 contracts all using e-signature. Our contract processing went down from days and weeks using the post, to 40 minutes [with] e-signatures."
