A Facebook conversation helped save the life of a UK teenager who took a drugs overdose last week.

The teenager from Oxfordshire has made a full recovery after police found him still conscious.

According to a BBC report a girl in the US alerted authorities after receiving a message, from the boy via Facebook, which suggested he was going to harm himself.

The girl in the US did not know where the boy lived but her mother called the police. Via a special agent in the White House they were able to contact police in the boy's locality. They narrowed the search down to eight houses and found the boy at the fourth.

Last week Demi Moore repordedly recieved a message via microblogging site Twitter from a woman who suggested she was going to kill herself.

Moore reposted the message and as a result her followers called the police in San Jose California who located the woman and took her into custody for evaluation.
