Dell Premier Page - ready for a 15% price hike?

Cliff Saran

Dell may be set to increase prices this month by 15% on its Premier Page e-procurement site, for business users, because of the strong US dollar.

One user received a letter from Dell stating, "Please be advised that due to the current market climate and the strength of the dollar, we have been advised of an increase in our list prices with effect from the beginning of February 2009."

In the letter Dell said it would pass on 15% in Premier Page quote requests/refreshes. This would take effect from February 2009.

The Premier Page site provides an e-procurement service to allow IT departments to manage the purchases of PCs and servers they buy from Dell.

At the time of writing, Dell was unable to confirm the increase.
