Firms of all sizes are being offered a new way of securing staff mobile access to applications by ntl:Telewest Business, part of the Virgin Media Group.

ntl:Telewest Business has become the latest service provider to adopt the CRYPTO-MAS managed authentication service from CRYPTOCard.

As "cloud-computing" continues to gather momentum to meet the needs of distributed organisations and mobile workforces, the need for secure identity and access management solutions has become paramount.

Andrew McGrath, commercial director of ntl:Telewest Business, said, "With significant growth in remote access and collaborative applications, identity and access management is now fundamental to enterprise security. We selected CRYPTOCard’s CRYPTO-MAS to answer the need for strong and flexible identity management."

The end-to-end managed service means there is no need for firms to invest in new infrastructure to support the mobile security platform.
