Sales were good from all E-store product groups, with TVs, food processors and coffee makers being the top sellers, the retailer said.
The e-store outperformed the Co-op's food stores, which recorded a comparatively modest 6% growth in like-for-like sales in the three weeks to 3 January 2009.
Peter Marks, Co-op chief executive, ascribed the overall success mainly to the group's investment in store rebranding and refurbishment, which is set to continue in 2009.
He also cited new product development as one of the other contributing factors.
Sainsbury's has also reported this week that like-for-like sales in the four months to December grew 3.9%, boosted by online growth of 27%
