Europe overtakes US for spam
More spam emanated in Europe than US in January which highlights a major shift, according to Symantec's Monthly Spam Report.
According to the findings, in January 44% of spam email originated in Europe compared to 35.1% in the US
This is the first time Europe has surpassed the US as the source of spam since Symantec began recording this data in August 2007. Only 30.6% came from Europe at that time with 46% originated in North America.
