Hardware hoarder's Tosh squeaks a win

Announcing the winners of round one of our Hardware Hoarders competition to find the best photos and videos of your ageing hardware.

This Article Covers

Congratulatory squeaks to Eric Jukes, who wins a Sony digital camera and £50 of Amazon vouchers in the first round of our Hardware Hoarders competition for his creativity. His image pairs an ageing Toshiba T1100 with a brand new mouse.

An impressive number of photos were received and we'll be posting a special gallery of the highlights online shortly, including Steve Downe’s ancient alternative to VoIP, Neil Slater’s ZX80, and, oldest of all the hoarded hardware, the 1895 Millionaire calculating machine belonging to the Church of England, as photographed by John Ferguson.

Bagging the winner’s crown and prizes in our video contest is Puncher from Stoke, for her demonstration of a festive use for an old card punch.

If you missed out, don't despair, the second round of our Hardware Hoarders challenge has just begun and will run until 29 February. This time, we are looking for photos and videos of your smallest but most impressive piece of IT kit.
