Action Aerials automates workforce management

Warwick Ashford

UK radio and TV aerial installation company Action Aerials has implemented a managed mobile workforce management system to automate its scheduling and job completion processes.

The Cognito system enables the company to allocate jobs automatically to 115 engineers across the country in real-time, based on their location and the customer requirement.

The system also enables customer details to be captured on site and completed job information is relayed instantly back to the office, providing visibility of all work in progress.

"We had reached a tipping point where we needed to automate our paper-based processes to satisfy the increased demand for our services," said Parvis Taylor, operations manager at Action Aerials.

He said the key reason for choosing Cognito was that the system was managed and did not require internal administration.

"The system will give us more control of our mobile workforce at the same time as creating operating efficiencies that will help us achieve our growth objectives," said Taylor.
