Online gaming firm Gala Networks Europe (GNE) has awarded Cable & Wireless a £300,000 two-year contract to manage its European gaming platform.
The contract covers operations out of GNE's Dublin datacentre, and covers network hosting, management and connectivity for the gaming platform.
GNE is part of the Gala Group, which has its global headquarters in Japan. Gala's diverse service portfolio includes Flyff, Space Cowboy Online, Rappelz, Corum Online and Upshift StrikeRacer.

Through its community portal gPotato, gamers can access all of Gala's services.
The C&W contract comes after GNE made a decision to bring its core infrastructure closer to its European market base.
C&W has six datacentres across Ireland and the UK. Its Irish datacentre is based in Clonshaugh, Dublin and provides a full range of co-location, hosting and managed services to Irish and international organisations.
