IBM has unveiled a wireless self-service point-of-sale kiosk for retail industries to service consumers.

The IBM AnyPlace Kiosk can be deployed in almost any environment and is enabled by a Sprint Mobile Broadband ExpressCard or via alternative mobile wireless services from other providers.

The IBM AnyPlace Kiosk product family includes 19in, 17in and 15in screen models, offering customers instant access to information, innovative services and online commerce.

In line with the IBM Green IT initiative, the new systems are powered by AMD high-performance, low-power Mobile Sempron and Turion dual-core processors.
