Search engine optimisation (SEO) consultancy ClickThrough Marketing has released a research report for marketers in the construction industry.

The report is aimed at helping marketing personnel in the construction sector understand the opportunities available, said Phil Robinson, founder of ClickThrough.

"The construction industry is way behind other sectors and is not taking advantage of search marketing to generate new business," he said.

The research report details the most popular search engine key phrases in 23 areas of construction and the most popular construction-related brands being searched online.

The report has been released in partnership with the newly-launched Construction Marketing Centre of Excellence (CMCOE), which offers a range of construction marketing services.

Roger Moggs, founder of the CMCOE said, "With more and more companies needing to focus on their marketing output and return on investment, this report provides the perfect guide on how construction companies can improve their search engine performance."
