Moss Bros expects to save thousands of pounds a year with a new communications and transactions system.
The clothes retailer completed the installation of an e-mail and till system in March this year, costing £45,000, and said it expected its annual running costs to drop from over £200,000 to £120,000.
IT technical project manager Dave Evans said the new e-mail system saves staff time and saves money on phone bills and postage.
He added that real time information is now available on sales figures, meaning peak sales days and top-selling products are immediately identifiable.
The new till system has also reduced card transaction times, and allows staff to look up stock levels at all 150 stores across the UK. This makes their jobs easier and improves customer service, Mr Evans said.
