Department of Work and Pensions chooses EDS for print contract

Antony Savvas

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is to receive print and related services from EDS, which is part of the iON Group consortium led by Xerox.

Under the terms of the contract, Xerox and iON partners will provide print-related services.

The services will, for the first time, be available to DWP staff through a single point of contact and service management structure.

The agreement covers more than 2,000 offices in the UK, across all core DWP organisations, including Jobcentre Plus, Pension Service, Child Support Agency and the Disability and Careers Service, as well as DWP Corporate Services.

David Smith, DWP commercial director, said, “The approach iON has developed for DWP will ensure that all our needs for print and associated services will be met as and when we need them."
