Applix’s TM1, aimed at companies that need to process large volumes of data, will pull together business intelligence from all departments of the Manchester-based company.
“64-bit technology coupled with in-memory processing means we will be able to analyse very large volumes of data with much faster response times to queries, ensuring all our information is up to date,” says Dean Moore, chief financial officer at N Brown.
This month, Gartner placed Applix in the “visionaries” quadrant of its annual Magic Quadrant report for corporate performance management. Gartner characterises visionary companies as having openness and flexibility in their application architectures, as well as being innovators.
