Heating, plumbing and building supplier Wolseley UK has selected Thus to provide a fully managed voice network...
in a £5m deal. The service will provide voice connections and incoming calls across Wolseley’s 1,700 UK sites, which include its Plumb Center, Build Center and Electric Center outlets.
Wolseley is aiming to achieve cost reductions from the managed service, along with support for customer service improvements.
Under the contract Thus will provide wholesale line rental, carrier pre-select and direct voice connections to Wolseley sites. It will also deliver an inbound call service – complete with an online management interface – to the company’s call centres.
Brian Horsfield, information systems director at Wolseley, said Thus had been selected for its understanding of the firm’s requirements and because it “would be able mitigate risk throughout this large-scale deployment”.
He added, “Thus’s solution will support one of the most vital communication commodities of our business, while adding value at the same time.”
The deal is covered by a service level agreement that sets out a tight roll-out schedule and includes billing accuracy and account management guarantees.
