London Olympics shortlists back-office bidders

The London Organising Committee for the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games has shortlisted four companies in its tendering process to appoint an information systems partner.

The successful supplier will run the back office technology systems for the London Organising Committee.

The London Organising Committee said it received “a number of high quality responses” to a pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) issued on 11 September.

These responses were reviewed and the shortlist selected, just 10 days after the questionnaire was issued.

The four shortlisted companies are: Accenture, BT Global Services, IBM and Logica CMG.

A preferred supplier will be selected next month, and a formal appointment will be made in November, said the organising committee.

The contract's value has not been revealed.
