eBay is the latest company to optimise its website for UK users of O2’s mobile i-mode service.

The agreement between the firms means that eBay users will be able to easily access their My eBay page to watch auction items and make bids using an O2 phone, just like they would on a PC.

Because of the strong security features in place on the eBay site, it is currently not easy to conduct bidding on the site when using a mobile device not optimised and approved for the site.

This is one main area the two companies are addressing for their customers with the i-mode deal.

eBay has joined the likes of Egg, Universal and Interflora in optimising its website for UK i-mode users.
