Actuate has acquired Performancesoft to improve its enterprise reporting applications. The acquisition will cost Actuate up to $30m (£18m).

Performancesoft supplies performance management solutions and its technology will be used to bolster Actuate’s dashboard- and scorecard-based systems across enterprise systems.

Pete Cittadini, Actuate chief executive officer, said, “To truly achieve breakthrough corporate performance, companies must take performance management beyond the executive suite and the finance department.

"The combination of Performancesoft’s performance management applications and Actuate’s enterprise reporting application platform provides accountability throughout the enterprise.”

Cittadini added that Actuate customers would now be able to quickly build and deploy easy-to-use dashboard and scorecard applications that offered managers at all levels the ability to access information from every part of the enterprise.
