Unicenter r11 has been designed to offer users improved network management, storage and security by using a unified database to gather data for management and reporting.
This has been dubbed as an “enterprise IT management” (EITM) solution by CA, which says its approach will reduce data integration problems and help deliver more efficient IT management.
The company will also launch enhanced CA applications to run on Unicenter.
These include updated versions of CA eTrust security products, BrightStor storage products, and new business service optimisation (BSO) offerings.
The conference will be the first CA World for chief executive John Swainson, the former IBM executive who joined CA about a year ago.
It is also the first CA World since the company became embroiled in an accounting scandal about two years ago, which saw it having to re-state accounts.
Former chief executive Sanjay Kumar is facing a trial in spring 2006 on charges brought after a Securities and Exchange Commission investigation.
