Macromedia and HP are partnering to help telcos quickly build feature-rich and flexible new customer services on their networks.

The solutions from the partners will be based on Macromedia's Flash authoring software and HP's service delivery platform (SDP).

As SDP is based on a service-oriented architecture (SOA), telcos will be able to use some technologies already available on their networks to create new Flash applications using web services, said the pair.

The offering will include various tools to support services such as business collaboration systems to gaming services.

So far, the companies have not announced any deals with telcos for their services.
