HMV builds online digital music service on Microsoft Windows Server System

HMV Digital, the new online  music download service from  the long-running UK retailer, has  been developed using server infrastructure that runs Windows Server System. 

The Windows Server System components include Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Operations Manager 2005, SQL Server 2005 and Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2004. 

The site is monitored by Microsoft Operations Manager 2005. HMV Digital uses a downloadable application written using Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2 based on Windows Media Player controls.
