Fujitsu is to sell Novell's SuSE Linux Enterprise Server on both its high-end Primequest and Primergy server lines.
Kiyoshi Sensui, Fujitsu general manager for the Linux software development division, said, "This agreement reinforces our commitment to providing customers with high-value solutions on a Linux platform.
"With Novell, we will deliver advanced Linux solutions to customers on a global basis," he added.
Fujitsu already supported SuSE Linux Enterprise Server on its Primergy servers in Europe, but now both its main high-end server ranges can be equipped with Linux on a worldwide basis.
Fujitsu said its Linux expansion was in response to an increasing demand for Linux in mission-critical enterprise environments.
