Anglian signs up again with CSC

Anglian Water has signed a new five-year £34m IT outsourcing contract with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC).

The new agreement follows a 10-year IT outsourcing deal the two organisations signed in 1995.

Under the new contract, CSC will continue to provide Anglian with IT services and upgrade its IT infrastructure. CSC will also support  Anglian’s customer billing, and its operations management centres and geographical information systems.

“The selection process was lengthy and rigorous and CSC has beaten strong competition from other leading IT suppliers,” said Peter Simpson, Anglian Water chief operating officer. “CSC put together a strong solution which was extremely competitive and addressed Anglian Water’s need to raise its game in key areas."

Earlier this week Anglian became the first UK company to adopt the new SAP for Utilities business software platform, which CSC will be responsible for implementing.
