Antony Savvas

McAfee is shipping new versions of its security software to protect the latest Novell operating platforms.

New versions of McAfee LinuxShield and McAfee NetShield for NetWare have updated technology to protect Novell’s new Open Enterprise Server, and the latest versions of Suse Linux Enterprise Server and Novell NetWare.

With the updated security software, users of the latest Novell platforms can be sure they are safe from new threats and exploits, said McAfee.

The products are designed for both SMEs running the Novell Linux Small Business Suite and larger enterprises running Suse Linux Enterprise Server or Novell Open Enterprise Server.

Key features of both products include On-Access scanning, which constantly helps monitor systems for new attacks, automated updates that occur seamlessly, heuristic and generic detection, and detailed online help.
