Secon 2006 to put spotlight on IT security

Speakers from HSBC and Cisco are among the experts who will take to the podium at Secon 2006, the BCS Birmingham IT Security Conference, on 6 June.

Stephanie Daman, head of information assurance at HSBC, will discuss information assurance in a global bank, Paul King, senior security adviser at Cisco Systems, will speak on securing the network, and David Lacey, former director of security at Royal Mail will take a look at the future of security.

The themes of the event, at Aston University, are governance, identity and supporting business processes. In addition to the presentations there will be demonstrations of the latest technology.
