The British Market Research Bureau, part of the Millward Brown Group, will this month extend its IP telephony system to support wireless telephony.

BMRB installed its IP telephony network when it moved to a new head office (pictured) earlier this year. The converged network, supplied by Logicalis Network Solutions, will enable BMRB to improve operational optimisation and ongoing product and service innovation, with 24x7 support from Logicalis' network support centre.

Mike Lord, system director at BMRB, said the converged network had resulted in a 50% saving in physical cabling costs. By using IP telephony and a converged network, he said the firm would be able to use more efficient communications and offer greater work flexibility.
