AXA wins £27m outsourcing contract with Xansa

Outsourcing and technology company Xansa has announced an extension to its outsourcing partnership with AXA Sun Life.

AXA is a world leader in financial protection with operations in Western Europe, North America and the Asia/Pacific area, employing 120,000 staff and tied agents. The new £27m contract starts on 1 April 2006 and will be delivered over five years.

Under the terms of the deal, Xansa will continue to support AXA's Life and Pensions systems, including its business-to-business capabilities, building on the work delivered in recent years. This has included the delivery of AXA's 'Protection' product along with a major business initiative to enable AXA to adapt to lower margin life and pension products.

In future, Xansa teams based in the UK and India will support the AXA mainframe and other business applications covering a full range of business processes including finance, marketing, human resources and management information services. Through the partnership, Xansa says that it will support AXA Sun Life to help deliver products faster to the marketplace.

Commenting on the announcement, Alistair Cox, Chief Executive, Xansa says: "I am very pleased that we continue to build our relationship with AXA. Real benefits are being achieved through the expertise of the Xansa teams in the UK and India working in close partnership with AXA UK IT, and we fully expect this to continue into the future"
