Global virtual network operator Sirocom is to collaborate with endpoint security market leader Sygate as a strategic technology partner.
The partnership will enable Sirocom to offer large enterprises its Siroconnect remote access service, a fully managed and integrated security solution. It will deploy software and security patches on the perimeter network and remote devices using Sygate’s Enterprise Firewall and iPass’s Endpoint Policy Management.
Sirocom is the first UK managed service provider to sign Sygate as a technology partner, and it has already implemented a combined Sygate/iPass security solution to Atkins’ 3,000 Siroconnect users in the UK and abroad.
Ruth Bowen, alliance and channels director at Sygate, said Sirocom’s managed services portfolio provided the ideal route to market. “Sirocom’s ability to provide complete managed services using carefully targeted technology partners ensures customers receive end-to-end quality of service, and reflects our vision of a multi-vendor/operator environment in order to achieve total network security and compliance across an organisation’s remote workforce.”
Sirocom CEO Simon Rogan said, “Increased use of multiple remote working and storage devices, such as laptops, PDAs and smartphones, goes hand in hand with increased security vulnerabilities on the network perimeter and from unauthorised hardware.”
