Dell has followed up its pre-Christmas US price cuts with reductions in the UK on specific configurations of servers,...
desktops and notebooks.
The supplier said it was passing on lower component prices. It has cut prices by up to 36% on Dell Servers, 30% on Latitude Notebooks and 15% on OptiPlex Desktops, which are all aimed at corporate and public sector organisations.
Sample pricing is Dell's mainstream enterprise tower server, the Dell PowerEdge 2600, which now costs £599, a reduction of £330.
Bill Rodrigues, vice-president and general manager of Dell UK, said, "The direct relationship we have with our customers coupled with a winning business model enables us to quickly pass cost savings directly on to our customers. This comes at a time when customers face financial year-end and are planning their budgets for the coming year."
